Randot StereoTest
  1. Have patient wear spectacles or contact lenses (if applicable)
  2. Patient will wear stereo glasses over habitual glasses/contacts
  3. Hold the randot book 40 cm away from patient
  4. Perform Global Stereopsis Test
  5. Perform Local Stereopsis Test
  6. Record findings in EHR


Global Stereopsis Test
  1. Tell patient, "We are going to test your ability to see depth. What shapes do you see in these boxes starting with the top left box"
  2. Record 500" sec if only the top 4 boxes are correct
  3. Record 250" sec if all correct


Local Stereopsis Test
  1. Tell patient, "One of the three circles may appear to pop out at you. Starting with 1 and going down, which circle [left, middle, or right] pops out at you?"
  2. Record the last row the patient got correct
  3. Grading scale 400" sec to 20" sec
